Jebel Ali Beach in Dubai: A Large-scale Eco-Project for Leisure and Entertainment

A New Level of Beach Leisure in Dubai
Jebel Ali is part of an ambitious plan to develop Dubai's public beaches, aiming to increase their total length by 400%.

Special attention in the development of Jebel Ali is given to environmental aspects. "The project is aimed at creating a unique recreation area that will be harmoniously integrated with the environment and protect local ecosystems and wildlife," said Mattar Al Tayer, Commissioner-General for Infrastructure, Urban Planning, and Well-being.

As part of the project, measures will be taken to restore mangrove forests, create new turtle habitats, and increase the area of the coastline available to visitors. Jebel Ali will not only become a new leisure center but also an example of sustainable development in a metropolis, underlining Dubai's commitment to creating a harmonious balance between rapid development and environmental protection.

Unique Opportunities for Leisure and Entertainment
The Jebel Ali project will turn 6.6 kilometers of coastline into a paradise for leisure lovers and active lifestyle enthusiasts. The infrastructure includes a 2-kilometer public beach, a 2.5-kilometer sports zone for diving, a scenic walking path with viewing platforms, and a 5-kilometer bike path.

Jebel Ali will become an ideal place for family relaxation. The beach will feature children's play areas, sports zones, and marine entertainment areas. For the convenience of visitors, there will be a spacious car park for 1,000 cars and spaces for bicycles.

The Jebel Ali project is divided into three thematic zones:

  • The Pearl: a beach recreation center with a swimming and entertainment area.
  • The Sanctuary: a reserve dedicated to conserving the unique ecosystem.
  • The Nest: a recreational and educational center.

Jebel Ali's development is a partnership with Nakheel, which will develop a 5-kilometer sandy beach, and Dubai Municipality, which will oversee a 1.6-kilometer mangrove beach.

Jebel Ali's area will be 330 hectares, making it Dubai's longest public open beach. This project is not just a new spot on the beach leisure map but a showcase for Dubai, combining comfort, entertainment, and environmental care.

Dubai Beaches: Safety and Comfort at the Highest Level
Dubai beaches are a benchmark for safety and comfort. The Dubai Municipality and Dubai Police are intensifying beach monitoring with more than 100 modern cameras, providing visitors with the highest level of safety.

The comprehensive plan for the development of Dubai's beaches aims to achieve ambitious goals:

  • Increasing the length of beaches suitable for night swimming, expanding opportunities for night-time relaxation.
  • Increasing the length of bike paths along beaches by 285% (15 kilometers).
  • Increasing the length of running tracks by 125% (11 kilometers).
