In 2013, Moscow ranked seventh for the second consecutive year in the top 10 cities in the world with the most expensive luxury housing (774 thousand rubles per square meter), surpassing New York.

The highest prices in "Residences Znamenka" - the meter in apartments with an area of ​​273 sq. m will cost 983 thousand rubles, the total cost of this offer exceeds 268.359 million rubles, according to the data of the Urbanus.ru portal and the Est-a-Tet company. In terms of absolute cost, the Mercury City Tower skyscraper in the Moscow City business center leads - 350 million rubles for apartments with an area of ​​500 sq. m, while the maximum price of an offer in this complex is 762.5 thousand rubles (see table). The price in the "Oko" tower in "Moscow City" (Capital Group) is even lower - 224 thousand per sq. m, but the object is still under construction: the installation of the 18th floor is ongoing, and the estimated delivery time is the fourth quarter of 2015.
 
According to Knight Frank, in the first quarter of this year, the average cost of an offer on the luxury new construction market in Moscow increased by 0.6%, to $24.7 thousand per sq. m (equivalent to 774 thousand rubles). In the total volume of offers, the share of large-sized apartments is growing, and a significant reduction in the share of apartments in the price range up to $1 million is noted - the average cost of an offer by the end of the first quarter of 2013 was $4.5 million (a 29% increase compared to the same period of the previous year). The average purchase budget also increased, reaching $3.2 million in March 2013 (a 20% annual increase). In the ranking of cities by the cost of luxury housing, prepared by Knight Frank, Moscow took the seventh place last year ($24 thousand per sq. m), surpassing New York (eighth place, $23.3 thousand per sq. m).
