Dubai's skyscraper on water: a new bridge to connect Dubai Harbour with the city center
The picturesque Dubai Harbour, known for its luxurious homes, entertainment centers, and coastal attractions, will soon become even more accessible thanks to a new bridge connecting it to the emirate's central highway – Sheikh Zayed Road.
Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority has signed a contract to build a 1500-meter bridge, which will reduce travel time between Dubai Harbour and the city center from 12 to 3 minutes. The bridge will have a capacity of 6000 cars per hour, significantly easing traffic for residents of the surrounding areas.
Dubai Harbour, located between Bluewaters Island and The Palm Jumeirah, is becoming a draw for living, trade, and tourism. It already hosts Skydive Dubai, with a 770-meter runway extending 550 meters into the Persian Gulf.
The new bridge will not only serve as a transport corridor but also a symbol of Dubai's progress, underlining its ambition to create a comfortable environment for living and doing business.
