Zhukovka

Zhukovka is the most famous village in Rublevka, located in a pine forest on a high bank of the Moscow River. In the 1930s, the village began to be actively developed with state dachas for prominent figures of the Soviet era. Over the years, Spanish communist Dolores Ibarruri, NKVD commissar N.I. Yezhov, aircraft designer A.S. Yakovlev, marshal of aviation A.I. Pokryshkin, pilots M.M. Gromov and G.F. Baidukov, academics A.D. Sakharov and V.N. Chelomey, Minister of Culture E.A. Furtseva, and distinguished statesman V.M. Molotov have all lived here. Nowadays, Zhukovka still symbolizes success, power, and wealth. Today, luxurious mansions and modern houses have arisen in place of the old dachas and village houses. There is a embankment on the bank of the Moscow River for walking, with playgrounds for children and sports facilities, as well as swimming areas. But in Zhukovka, there is not only centuries-old pines and a picturesque riverside, but also the most developed infrastructure in Rublevka: supermarkets "Azbuka Vkusa" and "Globus Gourmet", restaurants "Tsarskaya Okhota", "La Mare", "Veranda u Dachi", "Mario", "Marani", "Prichal", fitness clubs "Pride" and "World Class", schools, kindergartens, a cinema, branches of Rosbank and VTB.
