Abu Dhabi Opens 33 New Parks as Part of Urban Development Program
Abu Dhabi continues to systematically enhance its infrastructure for a more comfortable and eco-friendly urban lifestyle. In 2024, 33 new parks were created in the UAE capital, most of which are already open to visitors. The project is being implemented under the supervision of the Department of Municipalities and Transport.
The new green spaces are located across different parts of the city, including the mainland, islands, and coastal areas. Each park is designed with sustainability and accessibility in mind, featuring green zones, recreational areas, shaded canopies, pedestrian pathways, and infrastructure suitable for people with limited mobility.
The expansion of green spaces is a key part of Abu Dhabi’s strategy to improve quality of life, create an aesthetically pleasing and functional urban environment, and reduce heat stress during the hotter months.
Large-scale infrastructure projects like this directly impact the investment appeal of surrounding areas. Enhanced livability, increased demand for housing near well-maintained public spaces, and overall urban improvements make these locations particularly attractive to developers and private investors.
